Olympic Torch Goes Out During Relay, Russian Civilian Relights It With Zippo Lighter (Video)

The Olympic torch is not supposed to go out. When it does, it’s always good if there’s a guy around with a pocket lighter to restore the flame.

The torch, which went out in the initial ceremony involving Russian President Vladimir Putin, extinguished again during the relay. This poor guy in an all-white track suit had to ask a passerby if he could give him a light. Fortunately for Olympic pageantry, the civilian was able to produce a Zippo lighter and the relay could go on.
