Pirates Fan Jumps Off Roberto Clemente Bridge Into Allegheny River After Pittsburgh Wins Wild-Card Game Over Reds (Video)

If the Pirates can get to the playoffs and win a game for the first time in 21 years, the least a Pittsburgh fan can do is jump 78 feet into chilly water for his team.

That questionable line of reasoning may or may not have been what led one Pittsburgh fan to “do a Peter Pan” (that’s a Fugitive reference from the year after the last time the Pirates made the playoffs) off the Roberto Clemente Bridge in Pittsburgh. He jumped right into the Allegheny River to celebrate the 6-2 victory over the Reds, not the first time (or second time) a Bucco fan has pulled the stunt.

Yahoo! Sports has identified the man (boy?) as Dean Pasztor of Shadyside, Ohio, and there’s this photo to go along.
