One of the most talked-about storylines heading into Brad Stevens‘ first year with the Celtics has been how Stevens, who has never coached at the professional level, will be able to deal with the notoriously temperamental Rajon Rondo.

Stevens made building a relationship with his point guard a priority during the offseason, including making a visit to Rondo’s basketball camp shortly after being hired. That work seems to be paying off, as Rondo said Monday that he feels like the player-coach communication has been “great” thus far.
