We can end the debate. The Red Sox’ ALDS roster has been finalized.
There wasn’t much for Boston to figure out before its series against Tampa Bay. Most of the roster has been in place, and it was all about figuring out the final bullpen spot.
Felix Doubront got the nod over Matt Thornton, although Thornton will remain with the club and dress for games. John McDonald and Ryan Lavarnway will also stay with the Red Sox and dress during the ALDS.
