Red Sox-Cardinals World Series Game 6 Ticket Prices Already Absurd on Secondary Market

If you want just the chance to see something that hasn’t been done in almost 100 years on Wednesday, you better be willing to pay a whole bunch of pretty pennies to do so.

The Red Sox have a chance to win the World Series on Wednesday night in Game 6 against the St. Louis Cardinals, and a ticket to that game might as well be quite literally a golden ticket.

Believe it or not, tickets are already sold out. If you’re really interested in getting in the building, there’s always the secondary market, but those tickets are not going to come cheap. The online secondary ticket market has plenty of tickets if you’re looking, but you may need to get a loan approved first. The cheapest ticket for Game 6 on is $849 right now, and that’s for a standing room only. The cheapest ticket on on Tuesday afternoon was a bleacher seat going for $1,050 a pop.

For the high rollers, there are 19 total tickets on right now selling for more than $9,000. That includes an option to sit in Field Box 20, Row M for than $42,000. Good luck with that one, overzealous person selling your World Series tickets on the Internet. There’s also an option to buy one ticket in Right Field Box 95. So if you’re a ruthless business tycoon who screwed over everyone in your path to get to where you are and now have no friends but love the Red Sox … well you can go to Game 6 — for $11,002. has a couple of more reasonable deals including Green Monster seats for just under $5,000. All things considered, some might see that as a bargain.

Of course, these prices are very subject to change. It’s not unreasonable to think prices may even increase some in the next day. And if this series goes to Game 7…
