The Red Sox earned themselves a day off Thursday with a win on Wednesday night.
The Sox rolled over the St. Louis Cardinals on Wednesday in Game 6 to win the World Series, which means a winner-take-all Game 7 on Thursday will not be needed. That means the Red Sox won’t have to go into the office Thursday if they don’t want to.
Apparently not wanting to jinx anything, the Red Sox posted their schedule for a potential Game 7 which would have taken place Thursday at Fenway Park. When the Sox won it all Wednesday, their Game 7 itinerary was no longer needed.
