Red Sox Fans Celebrate World Series Win With Gathering at Boston Marathon Finish Line on Boylston Street (Photo)

“Boston Strong” has been a constant rallying cry for the 2013 Boston Red Sox and their fan base.

After the tragic bombings at the site of the 2013 Boston Marathon finish line in April, the team and the city unified in a unique way that seemed to culminate on Wednesday night when the Sox defeated the Cardinals in Boston to win the World Series.

After the win, some fans made their way to the marathon finish line on Boylston Street and gathered, with some even bending down to kiss the pavement.
