Red Sox-Tigers ALCS Game 6 Will Start at 8:07 P.M. on Saturday After Cardinals Clinch NL Pennant Friday

The St. Louis Cardinals clinched their fourth NL pennant since 2000 on Friday night with a 9-0 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 6 of the NLCS.

Now that this series is finished, the Boston Red Sox and Detroit Tigers know they will be playing Game 6 of the ALCS at 8:07 p.m. on Saturday night. The venue for the final two games of the ALCS will be Fenway Park.

If the Red Sox earn one more win over the Tigers, they will set up a 2004 World Series rematch against the Cardinals. Boston ended its 86-year championship drought that season with a 4-0 sweep of St. Louis. These two historic franchises have met three times in the Fall Classic (1946, 1967, 2004). If Detroit is able to stage a comeback and win the remaining games in Boston, it will be a rematch of the 2006 World Series, which the Cardinals won easily in five games.
