Danny Amendola, Tom BradyIt’s been a game of will he or won’t he with Danny Amendola this week, and it appears that he will after all.

Amendola, who has been sidelined with a groin injury since the Patriots’ Week 1 win in Buffalo, is “good to go” and expects to make his return to the field in Cincinnati on Sunday, according to the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Amendola traveled with the team to Cincinnati on Saturday, which was a sign that he at least had a good chance to play. He has been a limited participant in practice with the team since suffering the injury, but he finally looked healthy back out on the practice field this week. Amendola will need to go through a pregame workout as the final hurdle before being officially cleared. It is expected to be rainy and wet for the 1 p.m. kickoff, which could impact his status or level of participation in the offense.

Rob Gronkowski has already been ruled out for Sunday, making it five straight games that the Patriots will be without their tight end to start the season. Tom Brady can take at least take some solace in getting Amendola back.
