Greg Schiano, Josh FreemanThe relationship between Josh Freeman and the Buccaneers is finally over.

The quarterback has been released by Tampa Bay, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. Negative information has been leaking about Freeman since the Patriots beat the Buccaneers 23-3 almost two weeks ago.

Since that game, Freeman had been benched and fined by the Buccaneers. It was found out that Freeman voluntarily entered the league’s drug program after he tested positive for Ritalin.

The Bucs were trying to trade Freeman. Since the quarterback is vested, he does not need to pass through waivers to get signed.
