Report: Patriots Acquire Eagles DT Isaac Sopoaga, Sixth-Round Pick for Fifth-Round Selection

The Patriots are getting a little bigger up the middle.

According to multiple reports,New England has acquired 32-year-old defensive tackle Isaac Sopoaga from Philadelphia, along with a sixth-round pick, for a fifth-round selection.

The fourth-round pick by the 49ers in 2004, the Hawaii alum spent 2005-2012 in San Francisco before joining the Eagles prior to the 2013 season. In 133 career games played, he has 227 total tackles to go with 7 1/2 sacks, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries. Last postseason, the 6-foot-2, 330-pounder had seven tackles and one sack for the NFC champion 49ers.
