Bo Pelini definitely loses in both of these situations, but that doesn’t mean there were any winners.

The Nebraska coach had a rough day on the gridiron Friday. As well as his Cornhuskers getting torched by Iowa (the corn-growers?), he also had to deal with that stuff that karma does when people can’t control their emotions.

It started at halftime, when Pelini just wanted to trot off the field with his team down 14-3, but an ESPN reporter wanted to ask some questions about the first-half interceptions. Pelini blew off the reporter with a brusque “What kind of question is that?” The reporter, to his credit, kept jogging with the irritable Pelini and squeezed in a couple of more questions before Pelini finally made it off the field.

The rage was back in the second half, though. This time, Pelini ran over to argue with an official, and upon deciding to emphasize his opinion with a swing of his cap in the face of said official, managed to nearly hit the referee in the mouth. That got a 15-yard penalty.

Iowa won 38-17, and Pelini apparently kept up the show after the game.
