A lot of things had to go right for the Celtics to beat the Heat on Saturday, and Jeff Green‘s game-winning shot was actually sort of a broken play, but that doesn’t make the Celtics’ victory any less impressive.

While Green has gotten the bulk of the attention for his 24 points, none more important than his buzzer-beater 3-pointer, “Coach NickHauselman at BBall Breakdown has some high praise for Celtics coach Brad Stevens. In a battle between the two-time defensive NBA champions and a scrappy, rebuilding squad, Hauselman came away much more impressed by the coaching job done on the Celtics’ side.

“Let me just say this: Brad Stevens is already one of the best coaches in the NBA,” Hauselman says. “If he can continue to get his veterans to buy in, he’s going to have a really good, fundamental philosophy instilled in this team for years to come.”

A lot of the things Hauselman points out are common sense — like the fact that LeBron James unnecessarily overdribbled when he lost the ball off his foot in a late fourth-quarter possession — but he does do a nice job of outlining some of the actions the Celtics execute in Stevens’ system.

Check out the full breakdown, plus some harsh criticism of Dwyane Wade, in the video below.
