Bruins’ Impressive Penalty Kill Keeps 2-1 Lead Over Hurricanes Intact Going Into Third Period (Video)

The Bruins needed to kill a couple of penalties in the second period to protect a 2-1 lead over the Hurricanes.

After Johnny Boychuk and Gregory Campbell went to the penalty box for tripping and delay of game minors, respectively, Boston found itself in a 5-on-3 situation. Thanks to some fine saves by Tuukka Rask and strong defense by Zdeno Chara and Dennis Seidenberg, the Bruins killed off the penalties to maintain their 2-1 lead going into the second intermission.
