Detroit Gets on Board During First Period After Johan Franzen Leads Odd-Man Rush (Video)

The Bruins followed up a strong power play with a less-than-stellar line change.

But after the B’s failed to get on the board, Johan Franzen raced out of the box to lead the Red Wings’ 3-on-2 rush down the other end of the ice. Although he appeared to have whiffed on his shot, Justin Abdelkader was there to finish off the play, poking the puck past Tuukka Rask to give Detroit a 1-0 lead in the first period.

Check out the first goal of the game in the above video as the Amica Coverage Cam breaks it down.
