Cam Neely played the game of hockey with passion, heart and some punch, and his induction speech into the Hall of Fame was no different.

The Bruins legend delivered a sincerely heartfelt speech on Nov. 7, 2005, reflecting on a time in his young life when he almost stepped away from the game, thanking his dad for unforgettable life lessons, and expressing gratitude to all of his teammates, coaches, members of the training staff and opponents — most of them — for making the game fun and challenging every single day.

Not leaving out his family or the fans who were there for him throughout his “professional and personal battles,” Neely closed out a terrific speech on what he called the greatest day of his professional career.
