Cam Ward Makes Incredible Stick Save, Swats Puck Out of Midair to Rob Colin Greening (Video)

Cam Ward should really go on injured reserve more often.

After missing 10 games with a lower-body injury, the Carolina goaltender was activated on Monday, and based on the unbelievable saves he made against Ottawa on Sunday, Ward is feeling just fine.

During a 3-on-2 rush in the first period, Ottawa’s Erik Karlsson zipped the puck over to Derek Grant, who quickly got a shot off. Ward was there to deflect the puck with his pad, but he sent the rebound right to Colin Greening, who was looking at an open net.

The net wasn’t open for long, though, as the Hurricanes goalie dove across the crease and batted the puck out of midair with his stick.
