If the Boston Beard Bureau ever thinks about opening a D.C. chapter, this guy would make a pretty good presidential candidate.
One Capitals fan stood out from the rest of the crowd at Colorado’s Pepsi Center on Sunday, and not just because he was wearing a red Alex Ovechkin jersey amid the sea of maroon and blue. This particular Caps supporter also boasted a tremendous red and gray beard, one long enough that he was able to style it into a No. 8 in honor of the Washington captain.
Unfortunately for this Ovi superfan, however, his ferocious facial hair was not enough to inspire the Caps to victory. The Avalanche rolled to a 4-1 win, improving to a franchise-best 14-2-0 on the season.
