A couple of Cowboys defenders must’ve spent too much time watching college football on Saturday.

In a sloppily played game between Dallas and New York, the Giants took a risk going for it onĀ 4th-and-3 from the Dallas 27-yard line, but thanks to some momentary forgetfulness of the rules on the Cowboys’ part, the gamble paid off.

Eli Manning connected with Brandon Myers for what appeared to be a first down as the tight end made a diving catch near the 10-yard line. Myers turned that first down into a touchdown, however, when Dallas’ Jeff Heath and Bruce Carter both assumed the play was over, failing to touch Myers to ensure that he was down.

Myers quickly popped up from the turf and scrambled into the end zone to cut the Cowboys’ lead to 21-13 as the pair of Cowboys defenders looked on helplessly, but despite the defensive lapse, Dallas held on to win, 24-21.

Check out the play Dallas will be looking forward to the least during film review in the GIF below, with a fist bump to For The Win.
