NFL stars J.J. Watt of the Houston Texans and Cam Newton of the Carolina Panthers make dazzling plays on the field each week with super human-like abilities, and now they will display those same talents as comic book characters thanks to DC Comics and Gatorade.
The two popular brands have helped create two new comic characters, “MegaWatt,” starring the Texans defensive end, and “The Blender,” featuring the Panthers quarterback.
Watt’s story focuses on the value of hard work through his journey from a young boy to one of the best defensive players in football. Newton’s comic centers around the importance of young football players incorporating many different talents into their skill set, which he demonstrates each week as a dual-threat quarterback capable of making plays with his arm and legs.
