Dolphins owner Stephen Ross has had his team’s promising season derailed by the most bizarre locker room story of the season. On Monday, Ross held a press conference to update the public on the organization’s reaction to the ongoing saga of Richie Incognito and Jonathan Martin, as well as to announce the members of a special investigative task force who will be looking into the matter, NBC Sports reports.

Among the members of the committee are former Dolphins players Jason Taylor and Dan Marino, former coach Don Shula, as well as NFL legends Curtis Martin and Tony Dungy.

Ross also announced that he plans to meet with the departed Martin at an undisclosed location on Wednesday.

“We believe in being very proactive in this,” Ross said, “but the most important thing is we care about Jonathan Martin.”

Ross has compiled no small cast of respected football names to uncover the truth behind Martin’s sudden departure from the team, and hopefully, the blend of former Dolphins players and coaches are familiar enough with the Miami locker room or command enough respect from the players to get some honesty out of a situation that seems to be changing every day.  Failing that, Ross will have his own chance to ask some questions when he meets with Martin on Wednesday.
