Duron HarmonFOXBORO, Mass. — It appears rookies have it much easier in New England than they may in Miami.

Rookie safety Duron Harmon had nothing but positive things to say about his veteran teammates.

“Yeah, definitely,” Harmon said about how easily he’s adapted to his new team. “It’s definitely not cause of me. It’s cause we got great teammates, teammates that are good people, are really good people. You’ll see them walking in the hallway, ‘Hello, how are you doing Duron.’ That’s the type of atmosphere we have in this locker room. It’s definitely great for rookies because you’re coming to somewhere where you’re not familiar with everybody. But the older guys, the vets, they make you feel really comfortable here.”

Harmon hasn’t been taped to any goal posts, either.

“No hazing,” Harmon said laughing. “Definitely.”

Harmon could have a bigger role after the bye. Starting strong safety Steve Gregory broke his thumb against the Steelers. Harmon appears to be the next man up after he’s taken on an increased role in the dime defense.
