The Los Angeles Kings captain got his crown knocked loose Monday night.
During a game against the Canucks in Vancouver, Dustin Brown attempted to line up Canucks defenseman Christopher Tanev for a big hit along the end boards. Tanev did little to avoid the blow, but Brown misjudged his approach, flew past the blueliner and ended up slamming face-first into the glass behind goalie Roberto Luongo.
Brown looked a bit dazed after the whiff, but that didn’t stop him from laying the lumber the rest of the game. The forward dished out a team-high four hits as the Kings downed their division rivals 3-2 in overtime.
