Dwyane Wade 2Dwyane Wade’s super-cute FOX sitcom about what it’s like for a single dad who’s a professional basketball player to raise two sons probably isn’t going to be set in Chicago.

The Heat star is solidifying his Miami roots as he spreads his creative wings, including putting his Chicago townhouse up for sale.

Wade bought the townhouse in summer 2010, causing some speculation that he was looking to sign with the Chicago Bulls — his hometown team — when he became a free agent. Instead, he stayed in Miami as the Heat scooped up Chris Bosh and LeBron James, forming a new powerhouse in South Beach.

Wade is now parting with the Chicago townhouse for good, according to realtor.com. The space, built in 2000 and sold to Wade for $1.43 million, is going for $1.8 million. It’s in the River West district and has 3,900 square feet of living space, including a rooftop terrace, a two-car garage and a master suite that offers a fireplace, marble flooring, a steam shower and a soaking tub.

It also has some nice bedrooms, which would have made it perfect for further adventures with those kids. Oh, well.
