With a tip-off at 11:59 p.m., Wichita State basketball fans could be forgiven if they missed their team’s second game of the season against Western Kentucky on Monday night.
A couple of elderly diehard Shockers fans at Charles Koch Arena made sure they stayed awake for Wichita State’s 66-49 win during ESPN’s college hoops tip-off marathon. The two women, decked out in yellow and black, were shown a number of times by the ESPN cameras downing a can of Rockstar brand energy drink.
The first grey-haired fan took a big swing before passing it to her friend, who tipped the energy drink back with her pinky up. Cheers.
