Every NBA Player Rendered as 16-Bit ‘NBA Jam’ Characters in Excellent Display of 1990s Nostalgia (Photos)

It may lack the slick graphics and technical innovations of the “NBA 2k” series, but for those who grew up in the 1990s, “NBA Jam” is the cream of the crop when it comes to basketball video games.

Some current NBA players were too young to even walk when the game was first released in 1993, but one enterprising artist decided to take on the tremendous task of illustrating what the 16-bit, “NBA Jam” avatars of each and every one would look like.

For those keeping score at home, that’s 12 players for each of the 30 teams, plus three “legends” per squad (Robert Parish, Larry Bird and Kevin McHale for the Celtics, for example). That’s a grand total of 450 head shots, each bearing an incredibly uncanny resemblance to the actual player.
