Faceoff Win Leads to Loui Eriksson’s First-Period Goal Against Senators (Video)

The Bruins took a 1-0 lead in the first period of Friday’s game against the Senators on a shot from the point by defenseman Matt Bartkowski.

The young blueliner originally got credit for the goal, but it was changed to Loui Eriksson prior to the first intermission. A faceoff win by Patrice Bergeron got the Bruins started, and as the puck slid to the point, Bartkowski fired it on net and Eriksson deflected it past Senators goaltender Craig Anderson to give Boston a 1-0 lead.

Watch a breakdown of Eriksson’s goal in the Amica Coverage Cam video above.
