The Bruins don’t have a game on tap for Thanksgiving, clearing the way for Gregory Campbell to enjoy one of his usual Turkey Day activities.

The B’s center has made a habit of delivering pies to local charities and shelters on Thanksgivings past, and he’ll be at it again Thursday. He plans to hand out $2,000 worth of dessert — about 400 pies — that he’s getting on special order from Mike’s Pastry in Boston’s North End.

The New England Center for Homeless Veterans, Home for Little Wanderers, St. Francis House and Pine Street Inn are all on Campbell’s list for personal delivery this year, and at least another dozen organizations will receive the rest of the pies, delivered by the Bruins organization.
