Harlem Globetrotter Survives Near-Catastrophe When Backboard Collapses, Shatters During Failed Stunt (Video)

Things are normally all fun and games when it comes to the Harlem Globetrotters, but one recent incident may have the team thinking twice before performing any crazy moves.

During the Globetrotters’ Central American tour, they made a stop in Honduras. During the game, William “Bull” Bullard got a little aggressive after dunking an alley-oop, pulling his legs up to hang on the rim. The stanchion holding the hoop up came crashing down on the floor, and the backboard glass shattered everywhere.

The backboard appeared to hit Bullard in the face upon impact with the floor, but he came away with a just a cut above his right eye. He was able to walk off the court on his own and returned later to cheer on his teammates.

Check out the scary moment in the video below.
