Cam WardThe Carolina Hurricanes have done a nice job of just staying at or around .500 despite a rash of injuries in the early part of this season. They’ll be helped as they get one of their most important pieces back Monday night.

Goalie Cam Ward has been activated off of injured reserve, and he will get the start Monday night against the Bruins. It will mark Ward’s first appearance since Oct. 24, when he suffered a lower-body injury against the Minnesota Wild.

Ward was just 2-2-3 when he went down with the injury. At the time of the setback, Ward was posting a 2.81 goals against average and a .912 save percentage.

Carolina went just 4-5-1 without Ward, a stretch that included a five-game losing streak starting with that Oct. 24 game against Minnesota.
