The Joe Andruzzi Foundation (JAF) raised $500,000 at the 2012 New England Celebrities Tackle Cancer Gala, and they’ll be looking to top that number on Dec. 2 when they host this year’s gala at Gillette Stadium’s Putnam Club.

Joe Andruzzi, cancer survivor and JAF President, and his wife Jen will gather supporters, celebrities and athletes – including current and former Patriots players – for this record-breaking fundraiser. All proceeds from the Gala will enable the Foundation to provide financial assistance to more cancer patients, and support funding for pediatric brain cancer research at Boston Children’s Hospital.

“The past year has continued to show us the importance of staying positive through difficult times, and our foundation strives to reflect that mindset in everything we do,” Joe Andruzzi said. “Battling cancer is all-encompassing, both emotionally and financially, and with the support of our friends and sponsors, we’re proud we can now provide relief for more patients and families than ever before. Our Gala is really the culmination of our efforts throughout the year, and we’re looking forward to another record-breaking fundraiser.”

The Gala will feature a meet-and-greet cocktail hour with celebrities and athletes, a three-course dinner and speaking program, along with live and silent auctions of priceless sports memorabilia, in-demand Boston sports tickets, and luxury dining, spa, entertainment and travel packages.

New England start quarterback and long-time JAF supporter Tom Brady has also donated a 2014 VIP Training Camp package to be auctioned off at the Gala, which includes exclusive access to a Patriots practice, followed by a meet and greet and passing session with the three-time Super Bowl Champion.

Since its inception, the Foundation’s annual Gala has been supported by a variety of local athletes and celebrities, including: former and current Patriots players Troy Brown, Marcus Cannon, Kevin Faulk, Steve Gregory, Rob Gronkowski, Matt Light, Logan Mankins, Jerod Mayo, Devin McCourty, Rob Ninkovich, Nate Solder and Sebastian Vollmer; Patriots owner Robert Kraft; comedian Lenny Clarke; Dropkick Murphys lead Ken Casey; Boston Bruins star forward Milan Lucic, and many others. Former Patriots player and 98.5 The Sports Hub host/Patriots color  analyst Scott Zolak will lend his support as the evening’s emcee.

Individual Gala tickets are available exclusively at joeandruzzifoundation.org.
