Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Clayton Kershaw won the 2013 NL Cy Young Award on Wednesday
The 25-year-old star, who also won the award in 2011, received 29 of 30 first-place votes in a landslide victory. Adam Wainwright of the St. Louis Cardinals and Jose Fernandez of the Miami Marlins finished second and third in the voting, respectively.
Kershaw went 16-9 in 2013 with a league-leading 1.83 ERA and 0.92 WHIP, while also striking out 232 batters. His tremendous pitching helped Los Angeles win the NL West Division title.
The Dodgers have now won 11 Cy Young Awards, the most by one team in baseball history. Kershaw also joins Hall of Famer Sandy Koufax as the only Dodgers pitchers to win this award multiple times.
