Boston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo is still rehabbing from major knee surgery earlier in the year, but judging by his sprint speed, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the 27-year-old veteran on the court sometime soon.

Prior to the team’s game against the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday night, Rondo raced Celtics teammate MarShon Brooks from baseline to baseline during pregame workouts and won despite having a less than 100 percent knee.

Anyone who’s watched Rondo throughout his career knows that he’s among the fastest players in the NBA, but to beat another speedy guard like Brooks is quite impressive for someone recovering from an ACL tear.

In addition to running, Rondo is also playing one-on-one basketball.
