Aaron Rodgers, Shea McClellin, Isaiah FreyAaron Rodgers has missed just one game due to injury in his six seasons as the Packers’ starting quarterback. Now, he’s faced with adding a handful more to that list.

Rodgers fractured his collarbone in the first quarter of Monday night’s loss to the Bears. The injury will keep the Pro Bowl quarterback sidelined for four to six weeks, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. The Packers remain hopeful that Rodgers will be able to return on the shorter end of that timeline, though.

The Packers (5-3) will lean on 10-year veteran Seneca Wallace at quarterback to lead their offense over the next few weeks. He played well in place of Rodgers in the 27-20 loss to Chicago, completing 11 of 19 passes for 114 yards and one interception. He isn’t the ideal quarterback to lead the Packers’ offense, especially as Green Bay goes in search of a playoff spot, but the Packers may be able to escape the stretch without much damage.

The Packers’ five opponents over the next five weeks are the Eagles, Vikings, Giants, Lions and Falcons. Combined, those teams are a dismal 14-27 this season, meaning there’s a good chance Green Bay could still be in the thick of the race for the playoffs and the NFC North when Rodgers returns.
