richie incognitoRichie Incognito is a hot topic around the NFL, but he isn’t exactly a hot commodity among NFL teams right now. That could change if he becomes available.

The Dolphins suspended Incognito indefinitely last week after further evidence of his bullying of teammate Jonathan Martin came to light. The team will have to make a decision about Incognito’s future by Week 14, though, as players can only be suspended a maximum of four games for conduct detrimental to the team. That means Incognito will either have to be reinstated to the active roster or released by Dec. 2.

If Incognito is released, there is at least one playoff contender who would be interested in signing him, Sports Illustrated’s Peter King said on NBC’s Football Night in America on Sunday night. It would be nearly impossible to guess exactly which of the 20-plus contenders remaining might be the lucky team, but narrowing it down isn’t so hard. The Ravens, Seahawks, Jets, Chiefs, Patriots and Bengals all have allowed 25 or more sacks already this season and are just a few of the teams suffering from poor protection up front, making them all potential landing spots for Incognito.

Incognito has been known as a quality offensive lineman throughout his eight-year career and was selected to his first Pro Bowl last season, so he could definitely help teams on the field. The big question will be whether he can keep his behavior in check off of it.
