Brian WilsonBrian Wilson and his beard may have found a new home in Motor City.

According to the Detroit News, the Tigers are in serious negotiations with the free-agent closer as Wilson and his agent met with Brad Ausmus on Sunday in Los Angeles. Details of the deal have not yet been disclosed, but Wilson is expected to be seeking a multi-year deal.

After bouncing back from his second Tommy John surgery, the eccentric closer was strong for the Dodgers last season, seeing only limited action. In 18 games with Los Angeles, Wilson went 2-1 with a 0.66 ERA and added six scoreless innings during the postseason.

Along with the Tigers, the Angels, Rockies, Mariners and Indians have also emerged as possible landing spots for the 31-year-old, and Detroit has also been linked to closers Joe Nathan and Grant Balfour, but have not engaged in discussions with them yet.
