Tom Brady, Gisele BundchenWhen you think of storybook weddings, “attempted murder” isn’t usually the term that comes to mind, but that’s exactly how some people will recall Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen‘s 2009 wedding in Costa Rica.

Bodyguards Miguel Solis and Alexander Rivas were found guilty of attempted murder last Friday for firing shots at photographers who were trying to take pictures of the couple’s big day, according to Sky News. Solis and Rivas approached two paparazzi during Bundchen and Brady’s wedding, demanding they hand over their cameras’ memory cards before a shot was fired as the paparazzi left, according to a police report. No one was injured.

Both men face five years in jail and have been ordered to each pay $10,000 in restitution.

In 2009, Brady told Sports Illustrated that it was “absolute total B.S. We found two guys on our property, and we told them to get out. Our security guys didn’t even have guns. There were no shots fired.”
