Rockets Mascot Beats Dwight Howard in Backwards Half-Court Shot Competition Before Celtics Game (Video)

Dwight Howard may be better at shooting backwards half-court shots than free throws, but he still has nothing on the Rockets mascot.

Houston’s furry mascot (not a rocket, mind you), Clutch, witnessed Howard nearly sink a backwards toss from half court before Tuesday night’s Celtics-Rockets game. While Howard’s near miss had the other players and the mascot impressed, they weren’t nearly as impressed as when Clutch then tried the same shot and nailed it. (They played it cool, though, and didn’t celebrate too much. Don’t want Clutch’s head to get any bigger.)
