Calvin Johnson makes about $16.5 million per year as an All-Pro receiver for the Detroit Lions. Poker player Ryan Riess just made more than half that amount in one night.

The 23-year-old reached poker nirvana on Tuesday, defeating Jay Farber to win the main event at the World Series of Poker and the $8.4 million purse that comes with it. And, being a Michigan native, Riess was wearing a Megatron No. 81 jersey while he operated at the final table.

It may seem crazy for the champion of the world’s most high-profile poker tournament to be just 23 years old, but youth has ruled the competition in recent years. As ESPN Stats & Information points out, every main event winner since 2008 has been under age 25.

Check out Riess with his Megatron jersey and a huge stack of money in the photos below.
