Sammy SosaWhat is Sammy Sosa up to these days, anyway?

Well, aside from conditioning his skin so he looks like a vampire, making a rock-solid Pinterest page and failing to get into the Hall of Fame, he’s also buying Miami real estate.

Sosa has purchased an oceanfront home in Golden Beach for $7.6 million, according to therealdeal.com. The two-story home, built in 1998 and sold for $6.4 million in 2002, has seven bedrooms and eight and a half bathrooms. It’s in a gated community and boasts 75 feet of “direct oceanfront views.”

Sosa has the eighth most home runs in Major League Baseball history, although his contributions have been greatly discounted ever since Sosa and fellow home run leaders Barry Bonds and Mark McGwire were reported to have used steroids.

Broker Nelson Gonzalez told The Real Deal that Sosa “is a big fan of Miami,” and the site says the area is favored by those seeking privacy.

Can’t wait to see more photos pop up on Pinterest.
