Stanford Players Dress as Nerds for Press Conference After Win Over Oregon (Photo)

As one of the preeminent academic institutions in the country, Stanford sometimes gets saddled with the reputation of being a place full of nerds — a reputation these two guys studying in the bleachers during Thursday night’s game certainly contributed to.

But as the Cardinal proved yet again during that game — a 26-20, season-killing win over Pac-12 rival Oregon — the university is home to some world-class athletes, too.

Three of those athletes, linebackers Shayne Skov and A.J. Tarpley and running back Tyler Gaffney, channeled their inner nerd (or their inner Hanson brother) after the game, wearing thick-rimmed, Scotch-taped glasses while they fielded questions from reporters.
