Tom Brady, Rob GronkowskiFOXBORO, Mass. — Everyone’s seen the GIF by now, right? The one of Tom Brady screaming in Rob Gronkowski‘s face like a lunatic after connecting for six points against the Broncos.

Unfortunately, Brady says he doesn’t remember what he was saying to the tight end during that moment of elation.

“I don’t really remember what I said. I was pretty fired up,” Brady said. “He and I have a good relationship. We’ve played together in a lot of games. He gets excited and I get excited when he’s out there because I have so much familiarity with him and he’s a big part of why our offense goes. When he’s making plays, it just helps other guys make plays. A score like that, it was a very emotional time in the game. I kind of lost my mind.”

Gronkowski said Brady, like Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch or The Beach Boys — depending on your era — was just bringing good vibrations to the Patriots.

“Just bringing positive energy,” Gronkowski said about his quarterback. “It’s positive energy all the time. And a lot of players on this team have a lot of positive energy. Just bringing it out on the practice field, on the game field and it’s all good vibes. And it’s all good. It gets everyone motivated and everyone keeps working hard and keep grinding every week.”

Brady was asked if he was speaking Gronkowski’s language during the touchdown celebration.

“Every language with Gronk is a little in Gronk’s world isn’t it? He’s excitable, I’m excitable,” Brady said laughing. “We have fun. That’s what football is all about. You’re working hard, you’re competing and most of all, you’re having fun, especially when you do things good, you have to have fun. You compete against really good teams, they make it hard and you battle and you fight. There are times when people may think you want to cash it in but you fight back and good things happen.”
