FOXBORO, Mass. — After two days of perfect attendance at Patriots practice, the streak was broken on Friday.
Tommy Kelly was missing from practice. The defensive tackle returned to the practice field on Wednesday after injuring his knee against the Bengals in Week 5. He practiced Thursday but was missing on Friday.
The rest of the team was in attendance. Practice was held in the Dana-Farber Field House due to wind. The team was in shorts and shells.
Since Kelly missed practice, he likely won’t suit up against the Steelers on Sunday. That gives him two weeks of rest since New England has a bye in Week 10. Shane Vereen is also eligible to return Week 11 against the Panthers.
Armond Armstead and Mark Harrison did not begin practicing this week. They have until Week 11 to suit up, or else they will be put on the season-ending non-football injury list. Once they start practicing, they have three weeks to get activated, or else they will be put on the season-ending non-football injury list.
