Remember when Kanye West scored that shorthanded goal through the five-hole during the 2003 Stanley Cup Final? No? Well, one artist’s rendering might have hockey fans wondering if that actually happened.

Brad Oldham, the artist tasked with creating the statue erected in Brantford, Ont., honoring Wayne Gretzky, took a bit of artistic liberty in his creation. An eagle-eyed visitor recently noticed a few names on the statue that were a bit out of place. Names like Oprah Winfrey, Rocky Balboa and Ralph Waldo Emerson, the Brantford Expositor reports.

The Great One’s name is also misspelled on the statue as “Gretzsky,” and he’s listed as a member of the 1998-99 Detroit Red Wings.

People in charge of the $500,000 Gretzky Project said they were unaware of what words were actually engraved on the statues depiction of the Cup.

“[The artist] told us he was putting gobbledygook and hen-scratching” where the team names and players would be, Len Offless said. He added that project organizers did not give prior approval to the rendition of the Stanley Cup as they had with the facial depictions of Wayne, Walter and Phyllis Gretzky.

Now that the oddities have been noticed, Oldham said he plans to fix the erroneous information on the Cup, adding that “no disrespect was intended.”
