Alfonzo Dennard won’t miss a single game, workout or practice for the Patriots after violating his probation — if he’s good.
Dennard was sentenced to 30 days in jail by a Nebraska judge for violating his probation after being arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in July, according to Lori Pilger of the Lincoln Journal Star. That was added to 30 days he already had to serve after being found guilty of punching a police officer in April 2012. Dennard can get out of jail after 35 days for good behavior. The sentence starts March 1. Patriots OTAs started April 15 this season.
Dennard’s probation was also extended one year. He has to perform 100 hours of community service and he can no longer consume alcohol while on probation.
Dennard will be back in court on Friday to face sentencing on the DUI charge. The judge told Dennard before he left the courtroom, “I want you to know this is your last chance.”
