In a move that surprised no one in the nation’s capital, Mike Shanahan was fired as head coach of the Washington Redskins on Monday, one day after his team dropped its eighth game in a row to finish the season 3-13.

Reporters naturally wanted to hear the players’ thoughts on the firing of one of the NFL’s most high-profile coaches, but they weren’t going to get any good quotes from second-year running back Alfred Morris.

Brian McNally of the Washington Times approached Morris after news of Shanahan’s dismissal came down, but the running back was not in a talking mood. You see, he had more pressing business to attend to.

On second thought, that is a pretty great quote.
