Andrej Stastny Schools Former NHLer Dmitri Kalinin to Score Tremendous KHL Goal (Video)

The KHL is always a trusty source for incredible feats of goal-scoring prowess.

This latest highlight-reel tally comes from a game between SKA and Slovan earlier this week. With SKA leading 1-0 just five minutes after puck drop, Slovan’s Andrej Stastny gained control of the puck near his own blue line and raced straight up the middle of the ice.

Dmitri Kalinin, who played 10 years for the Sabres, Rangers and Coyotes, skated up to intercept, but a nifty deke by Stastny caused his poke check to flail wildly. Now out of position, Kalinin attempted to get a hip on Stastny, but the center blew right by him before beating the SKA goaltender blocker-side to tie the game.

Check out the move and the goal in the video below, with a stick tap to Puck Daddy.
