Wednesday night’s bout between Montreal’s Brandon Prust and New Jersey’s Cam Janssen didn’t look like anything too special on the surface, but a closer look reveals one blow that likely left Janssen seeing stars.

Prust took offense to a questionable hit by Janssen on Canadiens center Alex Galchenyuk early in the first period, and the two proceeded to drop the gloves. The scrap ended up being more of a two-man pirouette than a hockey fight, but Prust was able to get one arm free and crack the Devils winger with a nasty uppercut to the chin.

It’s tough to catch at full speed, but slow-motion replay leaves no doubt that Prust’s fist found its target.
