Claude Julien ‘Extremely Happy’ for Jarome Iginla, Says Win in Calgary Makes Homecoming ‘a Lot Nicer for Him’ (Video)

Tuesday was certainly an emotional night for Jarome Iginla as the winger made his return to Calgary, but he wasn’t the only Bruin affected by the special moments during the pregame ceremony.

After the game, Claude Julien said he was extremely touched by how the fans welcomed Iginla back and noted that seeing Iginla’s parents sitting in the stands made for a pretty monumental moment for the future Hall of Famer. The spotlight was shining on Iginla on Tuesday night and in the days leading up to his homecoming, but Julien was proud of how well the winger handled the media circus, saying that Iginla remained focused on the game throughout it all.

Iginla’s focus paid off as the Bruins were able to pull out a comeback victory over the Flames, and Julien was glad that his team could give Iginla that win, making his homecoming that much sweeter.
