Coyotes Goalie Mike Smith Gets Puck Stuck in Pants, Carries It Into Net for Own Goal in Overtime (Video)

The Buffalo Sabres picked up their 10th win of the season on Monday night with one of the most bizarre goals you will ever see.

With a little more than a minute remaining in overtime, Sabres defenseman Mark Pysyk fired a shot on Phoenix Coyotes goaltender Mike Smith. Pysyk’s rebound shot sent the puck flying into the air, and it landed in Smith’s pants.

Smith had no idea the puck was in his pants, so he went back into the crease to protect the net, and as a result, he carried the puck over the goal line to gift Buffalo a victory.
